Such was the success of the gaming activities, the Salle Blanche - originally intended to be used as a conversation room when it was built in 1903 - also became a gaming room. This was the year when Camille Blanc announced "never has the Casino received so many visitors during the winter season". The Salle Blanche's decor was as original as it was surprising... in "The Florentine Graces" - a picture painted by Gervais - one recognises Cléo de Mérode, Liane de Pougy and La Belle Otéro, the very famous courtesans of that time, who gambled here regularly. The room was renovated in 1991 and, since then, has been home to the slot machines.
